Stroom uit (a work by Lucas Cantori and Ceel Mogami de Haas).

For « the hand that feeds you » show, all the neon lights of the building have been switched off, depriving the building of light, but also generating an economy, or rather a saving, of energy. The total amount of energy saved for the whole duration of the show is 4737.6 kilo watts which is equivalent to the sum of 1034.21808 Euros.

That energy saving could be transformed in the total charge of electricity necessary to give life to Frankenstein monster, while the money saved could be used for artists’ micro-credits within the frame of a newly set up micro economy; since the local subvention institutions seem to be inefficient for sustaining artists both work and life.

A battery will be conceived with the 12 Euros saved during the first six hours of the show (duration of the opening). Only copper 5 Euro cents are used for the conception of the artisanal battery (together with paper, vinegar, zinc and salt).

Temporary installation with a 6 hours candle 0n 240 five euro cents (while waiting for the battery to be built)
